Dear Theater Artist
A few weeks ago a small group of friends came together to build a website to help promote musical theater artists: actors, composers, singers, choreographers and everyone in between.
The result is 10glo.com.
Think of it as YouTube and LinkedIn mixed together, but just for theater. There are no cat videos (sorry cat lovers).
Pre-Covid, there were a few ways to get “discovered” but none of them truly awesome.
Festivals could be fun, but expensive (did anyone really ever stick to those $25,000 budgets?). Open calls were challenging for those who needed to pay the rent by holding down a day job or who lived far from a major city.
The barrier to entry in theater was, and is, just that: a barrier. Or, more like it, a one hundred foot steel barricade that could only be scaled by the few who had the resources or the connections.
It shouldn’t have to be that way. And now, it won’t be.
We believe that by creating a space for everyone and anyone that we can blast through those traditional barriers to entry in theater.
What is 10glo.com? 10glo.com is your personal barrier smasher. We don’t care who you are, where you come from, or what theater means to you.
At 10glo.com there are no doors to shove open, or gatekeepers holding you back. You just have to be brave enough to get started.
How do you begin?
Just upload videos of your work. That’s it.
Your songs, your compositions, your performances, your reels, or whatever else you want to show off and share with the world.
So what are you waiting for? Create your profile, post your work and share it with the world.
