Satu Runa
Bio
Satu Runa is a Los Angeles based writer, director, and performer (member: AEA, SAG-AFTRA). Hailing from rural Nova Scotia, Satu’s Indo-Trinidadian mother and Finnish father gave her a multicultural childhood full of music and art. This led to a certificate in drama from the Stella Adler Studio of Acting, New York, training with Academy Award winner, Mark Rylance, acclaimed character actor, Anthony Zerbe, and Kevin McDonald (Kids in the Hall). Satu recently won Best Script at the Florida Comedy Film Festival 2020 for her original musical comedy pilot, HESSIANS OF BURBANK.
She is the former guitar player, keyboardist, and backing vocalist of Modern Time Machines. She has appeared on Rizzoli & Isles (TNT), The Eric Andre Show (Cartoon Network), The Coalition (Magnolia Pictures), and in stage productions of Jesus Christ Superstar (chorus), Cabaret (Rosie, The Tribe), Two Gentlemen of Verona (Julia, Oxford Shakespeare Company), Broadway Cares Shakespeare Benefit (off-Broadway), and Marisol (Harold Clurman Lab).
