Keri René Fuller of Broadway’s WAITRESS and JAGGED LITTLE PILL, and the CATS National Tour (Grizabella) performs “His Soul Found Mine” from new musical IN EMILY’S WORDS. With book, music, and lyrics by Jessy Tomsko, IN EMILY’S WORDS tells the story of English novelist Emily Brontë as she crafts her magnum opus: Wuthering Heights. It has a “show within a show” construct, following both Emily’s personal journey as a female writer in the 1840s (with a masculine pseudonym) and the journey of Emily’s characters, particularly Cathy and Heathcliff.
This song is sung by Cathy, and is the moment she realizes the true depth of her love for Heathcliff – that she can never love Edgar Linton in the same way.
